It'll be good to hear about the class. I have only one unusual thing to relate - at least for those living in Texas - I hear rain outside. Again!

We had a great visit with Barbara Taylor earlier in the summer and I'm looking forward to seeing more friends soon. John, my husband, is retired and we're enjoying that. Our six children are scattered between Ireland and the US, and we try to get back and forth. We've three granddaughters - live wires!

Hope all are well.

I am married with one son. My wife is Mary and we will have been happily married for 33 years in December. Mary is a native Texan from San Antonio originally. Our son's name is Matt. He is going to be a freshman at Texas A&M this year and is 18 years old. It took us a few years to have him, but it's been more than worth it. He is looking forward to Aggieland!

I would like to say we are retired and traveling the world........I would like to, alas, this is not the case. I am in sort of a retirement job with Stacy Furniture in Allen. Anybody who reads this.... please come out and buy some furniture! Please! I'm on commission!

Anyway, we live in Allen, also. We spent some time in Arkansas, too, while I ran a Circuit City store. I also retired from Sears about 16 years ago.

Regards.

We have been blessed beyond measure and look forward to our 50th reunion. The question is will we remember our class mates? Let's see some pictures so we can refresh our memories! Anyone on Facebook send us a message.

Maxine Weitzman Spohn

Hi Guys,

For 66 years young (I still believe I'm 39), I'm feeling great, living OK in these miserable economic times and very happy and hopefully healthy. The newest thing in my life is Doug Spohn whom I married on Dec 15, 2006, and now I'm Maxine Spohn. Doug attended our last reunion with me. He towers over me at 6'5" and calls me Tinkerbell. "Tinker" is my nickname to the 5 delicious grandchildren I inherited.

My son, Marc, lives in Atlanta and daughter Dena lives in Los Angeles. Both are great people, (I'm partial) single and "loving life". I'm waiting for either to marry and produce more grandchildren.

We spend most of our weekends at our home in the North Ga. Mountains and I get to mix this up with several visits a year to my favorite beach, Kiawah Island, outside of charming Charleston.

I love to fish, am learning golf (rank novice) and each day feel so blessed. Looking forward to seeing all of you.

Sandy (Fernald) Gerow

Photograph of Sandy's GrandsonsI am still working as Associate Director of the MBA Career Management Center at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill (home of the NCAA National Champion Tar Heels!) I love my job, although as you can guess, it's not been easy helping MBAs find jobs this year! My daughter, Samantha Stichter, and her family live about an hour away in Greensboro. The picture is my grandsons Andrew (12) and Jack (9).

I'm getting together with Connie Fields Moore, Susy Beene Franklin, Sheila McKee Barrett, Barbara Hilsewick Wong, and Barbara Taylor over Labor Day weekend in Fort Worth for a short reunion. We decided at our 45th that five years was too long between reunions! We met last year in Charleston, SC, as well.

After graduating from HPHS, I went on to get a Master's Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. I worked in the Petroleum Industry in Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado with the Natural Resources Division of Union Pacific Railroad before moving overseas to work for the Arabian American Oil Company (now Saudi Aramco) in Saudi Arabia.

I retired from Saudi Aramco in 1998 after 25 years of service and returned to Denver, Colorado. I moved to Houston in 2006 where I am currently employed by Aramco Services Company - a wholly owned, U. S. subsidiary of Saudi Aramco. I am in ASC's Upstream Research Group.
